On February 12, 2012, Houston authorities say a woman was hospitalized after the car she was in slammed into a tree near the Galleria. Reportedly, the SUV was traveling from the West Loop ramp onto Hidalgo when the driver lost control at a sharp curve in the road and slammed into a tree.
