On February 15, 2011, a 59 year-old woman died after her vehicle struck a white Chevy pickup on the 5500 block of Almeda Genoa in Houston. Investigators say the woman stopped at the intersection, but then proceeded to turn left and pull in front of the pickup. Houston police say the pickup was driven by an intoxicated man who had two child passengers. However, neither the driver of the pickup or his young passengers were injured. The driver of the pickup was reportedly charged with driving while intoxicated.
