On February 14, 2011, a construction worker was hit by a pickup truck in southwest Houston. Houston police say two men were working in the middle lane at OST and Stafford around 11 p.m. and spotted a pickup truck headed in their direction. After realizing the truck was not going to change lanes, the two men attempted to jump out of the way. The pickup truck then attempted to change lanes at the last moment, but hit one of the men. The pickup driver was issued a citation and the injured worker was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
