On February 22, 2011, authorities say a Harris County Sherriff’s Deputy was injured when a driver ran a red-light and collided with the patrol car in northeast Harris County. Reportedly, the deputy was traveling southbound on the Beltway 8 feeder near C. E. King Parkway. Sources say the collision caused the deputy’s patrol car to flip over briefly pinning him inside. Authorities say the deputy was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Reportedly, the driver was ticketed for running a red light.
