On April 8, 2011, Houston authorities say a wreck involving an 18-wheeler shut down part of a freeway during Friday rush hour. Reportedly, the big-rig crashed into another vehicle on the north bound lanes of the I-45 North at Parker Road shortly before 4:00 p.m. Witnesses say all lanes were shut down for a short time, but re-opened within 30 minutes.
