Houston Man Killed While Fixing Stalled Vehicle

On April 19, 2011, Houston police say a 40 year-old man was killed while fixing his Ford F-150 pickup truck after it stalled on the southbound South Freeway exit ramp to the South Loop.  Investigators say the man got out of the pickup, raised the hood and stood in front of the vehicle.

Reportedly, a Hyundai Santa Fe then crashed into the back of the pickup truck.  Sources say the driver of the pickup truck was transported to the hospital where he died. According to Houston police, there were two other passengers inside the pickup truck during the collision.
