On June 28, 2011, Houston authorities say a driver hit a pedestrian along I-45 and refused to stop even though the victim had smashed through the windshield and remained in the vehicle. Reportedly, the wreck occurred on the southbound Gulf Freeway near Almeda Genoa. According to reports, the man was apparently trying to cross the freeway when he was struck by the vehicle and forced through the driver’s windshield. Sources say the driver of the vehicle was pulled over a few miles away after an officer noticed the smashed windshield.
