On April 26, 2011, authorities say a group of Houston area high school students were hit by a vehicle as they stood on the side walk at Clear Valley and Glade Hollow. Reportedly, the vehicle was driven by a 15 year-old boy who was joy riding without his mother’s permission. Witnesses told authorities the boy was traveling 70-80 mph around a corner in a subdivision when he jumped the curb and collided with mailboxes and the high school students. Authorities say the injured students were taken to the hospital with injuries. Reportedly, the boy was charged with aggravated assault.
