On April 16, 2011, Beaumont authorities said a 63 year-old man from China was killed after a motorcycle accident in Beaumont. Reportedly, a 22 year-old driver of a 1990 Chevrolet pickup ran out of gas and left the truck stopped in an inside lane of the I-10 exit ramp to College Street. Beaumont authorities said the man was riding a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle and took the ramp when he crashed into the right rear of the pickup truck. Reportedly, the motorcycle went down and slid south, coming to rest in the middle and outside lanes. Beaumont authorities say the man died at the scene.
