On June 13, 2011, Harris County officials say three vehicles were involved in a car accident on the westbound lanes of the Crosby Freeway by Sheldon Road. Sources say one vehicle was traveling eastbound on Highway 90 before suddenly swerving into oncoming westbound traffic and striking a second vehicle. Reportedly, the collision then caused the second vehicle to slam into a third vehicle. Sources say the westbound lanes of Crosby Freeway were closed as investigators cleared the scene. Officials say they do not yet know what caused the first driver to swerve into oncoming traffic.
