On June 11, 2011, Pasadena authorities say alcohol and street racing may have contributed to a fatal crash near NASA Road 1. Reportedly, a convertible Corvette went off the road and hopped the curb of a home before crashing into a cinder block wall. Pasadena authorities say the Corvette hit the wall with so much force that engine parts, street signs, fiber glass body parts, including a car door, were left scattered throughout the home’sĀ front yard. Sources say the female passenger of the Corvette died at the scene. Reportedly, the Corvette was racing a man on a motorcycle.
