One Fatality in Texas 18-Wheeler Collision

According to reports, on January 22, 2013, a man was killed as a result of his injuries suffered when the pickup he was driving collided into the rear of an18-wheeler. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the driver of the pickup was traveling west on U.S.90A behind the 18-wheeler. The driver of the 18-wheeler tried to turn left onto FM 443 when the driver of the pickup was trying to past the 18wheeler on the left.

Authorities say when the pickup driver saw the 18-wheeler was turning, he attempted to move back behind the 18-wheeler causing the front left portion of the pickup to strike the rear left end of the trailer.
Texas DPS offices calculated that driver of the pickup entered the collision at 77 miles an hour.
