On March 2, 2011, Texas City police say a chase which began at the 800 block of Texas Avenue ended in a multi-vehicle collision on Palmer Highway. Reportedly, the suspect fled from police after his car was spotted following allegations of assault with a firearm. Sources say the chase lasted 10 minutes and ended with a four car collision on 25th Street and Palmer Highway. Texas City police say both the suspect and a woman involved in the crash were flown to the hospital.
