Texas Truck Accidents Mar Holiday Celebrations

The start of the summer holiday season saw numerous Texas truck accidents across the state. Drivers who traveled the highways during the Memorial Day weekend witnessed several Texas truck accidents from the suburbs of Dallas to the beaches of Corpus Christi. A Texas truck accident in Rockwall left one driver dead and two others injured. A pedestrian was struck by an 18 wheeler in New Braunfels. A tractor-trailer collided with an SUV in Waxahachie. Two 18 wheelers collided in Ben Bolt near Corpus Christi.

Rockwall Texas Truck Accident

A fatal Texas truck accident occurred on Interstate 30 near Rockwall last week. An 18 wheeler in the westbound lanes crossed a center divider and rolled into eastbound traffic. The Texas truck accident happened at around 6:30pm Friday night and also included several other vehicles, including at least two other 18 wheelers. One person lost their life and two others were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Police shut down the eastbound lanes and limited westbound traffic to one lane during the investigation.

Corpus Christi Texas Truck Accident

A multi-vehicle Texas truck accident led to the death of an 18 wheeler driver. The Texas truck accident occurred at around 5am last Monday on Highway 281. Police reports show that an 18 wheeler driver swerved to avoid debris on the road and collided with a guardrail. Another tractor trailer rear-ended the first truck and caught fire. Two other drivers were injured when debris from the collision struck their vehicles. The second 18 wheeler driver and the passenger car drivers were taken to local medical facilities.

New Braunfels Texas Truck Accident

A pedestrian walking along an interstate died in a Texas truck accident early Sunday morning. A San Antonio man was struck by a tractor trailer traveling southbound on Interstate 35 near Engle Road just after 2am. Police diverted traffic to the freeway’s access road during the investigation. The incident marks the second fatal accident involving a pedestrian on this freeway. On May 9, an Austin man who was walking in the northbound lanes was struck by a passenger car.

Waxahachie Texas Truck Accident

A Texas truck accident between a tractor trailer and a sport utility vehicle sent a driver to the hospital. The Texas truck accident happened near U.S. Highway 287 and Parks School House Road in Waxahachie. The driver of a Chevrolet Suburban tried to cross the road and failed to notice the 18 wheeler moving down the highway. The truck’s trailer rolled over the SUV, leaving the driver with serious injuries. The driver was initially transported from the scene by ambulance, but the severity of his injuries forced authorities to transfer him to a CareFlite helicopter.
