Train and 18-Wheeler Collide in North Harris County

Reportedly, on January 25, 2013, one person was injured in a collision between a train and an 18-wheeler in north Harris County. According to the Harris County Sherriff’s Department, the accident occurred at the Hwy 290 Frontage Road and Telge Road.

Sources say the 18-wheeler was carrying oil equipment which broke loose from the back of the trailer. Witnesses say that the trailer was cut in half during the accident. According to authorities, the intersection where the accident occurred will be closed off for an extended period of time because the train was immovable and the guard rails were severely damaged.
